Job Duties: The Pro Shop/Cart Attendant is responsible for the first point of contact for guests. This consists of greeting customers and checking them in. The Pro Shop/Cart Attendant will also be responsible for opening and closing duties of the Pro Shop, answering phone calls, and coordinating reservations for tee times, group outings, and facility rentals. The Pro Shop/Cart Attendant collects green fees and dues for golf, merchandise, food, and beverage. This position also helps clean and maintain the facility and surrounding public use areas. This position is also responsible for stocking and promoting merchandise to customers, keeping the shop clean and preparing the shop for daily business. This position is also responsible for a variety of guest service duties including cleaning and preparing the golf fleet for use, general cleaning and upkeep of the facility, and giving general assistance to guests as needed. This position is also responsible for collecting and cleaning practice range balls from the driving range.
Essential job functions:
- Responsible for activities and functions relating to golf operations including starting functions and routing golfers, taking reservations, and collecting greens fees, and distributing golf cart rentals.
- Opens and closes the Pro Shop including following procedures for opening and closing the cash register.
- Answers the phone and makes reservations for customers and members.
- Greet and direct all visitors.
- Inform players of course conditions for the day.
- Effectively manage the tee sheet
- Promote products to guests.
- Assists with inventory.
- Use cash register to collect golf fees and make retail merchandise sales.
- Maintain a neat and clean Facility. This includes dusting, vacuuming, emptying trash cans cleaning bathrooms, stocking merchandise, etc.
Requirements:
- Applicant must be at least 19 years of age or older
- Applicant must be able to work a varied shift, including nights, weekends and holidays and must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk and crouch
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- General knowledge of the golf game is helpful, but not necessary.
- Retail experience is a plus.

Satisfaction of the minimum qualifications, including years of experience and service, does not entitle employees to automatic progression within the job series.
