This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing landscaping and grounds maintenance activities at the Village Creek Golf Course. Job duties include supervising a maintenance staff, prioritizing work assignments, establishing deadlines, providing general instructions, reviewing the work performed, and coordinating and performing grounds keeping activities. Other job duties include monitoring inventories, making budget recommendations, operating a variety of grounds keeping equipment, maintaining the irrigation system and monitoring for malfunctions, assigning daily work schedules, and other duties as assigned. Familiarity with mowers and grounds keeping equipment is required. Applicant must be able to work a varied shift, including weekends and holidays, be able to traverse rough terrain, and be able to work in all kinds of weather. A driver's record check will be performed. Applicants with a Pesticide Applicator's license are preferred.

Applicants must meet or exceed the following qualifications: The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus three years of experience in landscaping, grounds keeping, ground maintenance or a related area, including one year in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee.
