Preferred Qualifications:

 

At least five plus years of retail sales experience desired. Excellent customer service history, with outside sales experience a plus. Effective communication, strategic planning, and time management skills are essential. A good driving record with reliable transportation available is a necessity. A bachelor's or associate's degree in business management is preferred.

 

Position Specifics:

 

The areas of responsibility are Franklin, Johnson, Logan, Pope, and Yell counties in Arkansas. Must be able to work 8:00 am until 4:30 pm., Monday through Friday, plus some flexible hours. Respond to calls and emails promptly. Demonstrate an independent work ethic. Demonstrate professionalism on the job at all times.

Job Summary

The Office of Arkansas Lottery (OAL) Marketing Sales is responsible for promoting and increasing the sales of lottery products across the state. This position serves as a critical link between the OAL and its retail partners, assisting with marketing strategies and campaigns that drive ticket sales. The OAL Marketing Sales Representative will work closely with retail vendors, develop relationships with local business owners, and execute promotional efforts that highlight the Arkansas Lottery’s games and initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist in executing marketing and promotional strategies to increase the sales of Arkansas Lottery products, including scratch-off tickets and draw games. Support in the creation and distribution of materials and initiatives designed to engage the public and drive sales. Act as a liaison between the Office of Arkansas Lottery and retail partners. Provide support to lottery retailers by ensuring they are equipped with the necessary marketing materials, training, and product knowledge. Help identify and resolve issues that may arise in the sales process, maintaining positive relationships with retail vendors. Build and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with key retail customers and partners. Respond to inquiries and provide support for any issues that retailers face with lottery sales, promotions, or game offerings. Assist with tracking and reporting on the effectiveness of sales campaigns and initiatives. Collect data on retailer performance and use that information to help develop strategies for increasing sales.

Knowledge and Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for engaging with retailers, customers, and stakeholders. Exceptional customer service skills are necessary for interacting with retail partners and the public. Basic understanding of marketing principles, including the promotion of products and services. A keen attention to detail is important for ensuring the accuracy of promotional materials, sales reporting, and inventory management.

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications is required.
