This position performs general administrative support duties and general office management operations within a state park setting under the general supervision of the park superintendent. Applicant will be responsible for auditing invoices, posting and reconciling daily cash receipts, preparing cash reports, preparing monthly statements of accounts, preparing bank deposits and compiling information for various reports and records. Duties include posting transactions to park ledgers and balancing entries, assisting in budget preparation, issuing purchase requisitions and orders, processing goods and delivery receipts, processing purchasing card receipts and reports, and maintaining a purchase order log. This position completes personnel and payroll documents, maintains and audits files, time sheets, and leave records. Other administrative support includes receptionist duties, operating and closing out cash registers, taking facility reservations and completing registration procedures. Applicant maintains the records and reports for the Ladie’s Auxiliary gift shop and retail operations to include management and inventory of merchandise. Management responsibilities include supervising and training first contact employees of the museum and orientation of new employees. Position performs related responsibilities as required or assigned. Frequent contact with public and staff is required. Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office is necessary. Applicant may be required to work weekends and holidays. A criminal background check is required.

Applicants must meet or exceed the following qualifications: formal education equivalent of two years of college level accounting, human resources, business, or a related field; plus, four years of experience in accounting, personnel administration, payroll, or a related field, including one year in a supervisory capacity. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the Qualifications Review Committee.
