The State Bank Department, a division of the AR Department of Commerce, is charged with regulating state-chartered commercial banks with main offices in Arkansas, as well as the bank holding companies of Arkansas state-chartered banks; state-chartered trust companies; regional and county industrial development corporations; industrial loan institutions; and capital development companies. The Department operates to ensure the safety and soundness of, and public confidence in, these institutions and organizations.
The Bank Department's main office is located in Little Rock, AR. Additionally, the Bank Department operates satellite offices in both Springdale, AR, and Jonesboro, AR. This position will be assigned to the Bank Department office located in Little Rock, Arkansas.
This is a senior leadership position within the Bank Department that is responsible for:
(a) Overseeing the operations of the IT Division within the Bank Department.
(b) Ensuring that the Bank Department's technological resources are effectively managed, optimized, and aligned with the department's strategic objectives.
(c) Supervising IT personnel, leading critical projects, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality technology services to support the state’s operations and mission.

Job Summary
The State Applications Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and overall management of software applications within an organization. This role ensures that applications run smoothly, meet business requirements, and comply with security and operational standards. The State Applications Administrator troubleshoots technical issues, oversees system upgrades, and collaborates with a variety of assorted personnel in an attempt to implement improvements that enhance system performance and user experience. This classification requires a strong technical skill set, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to system management.
Primary Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain enterprise software applications.
Monitor application performance and availability, ensuring optimal functionality.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to applications in a timely manner.
Plan and oversee software updates, patches, and system upgrades.
Maintain user access controls and application security protocols.
Collaborate with agencies to ensure applications align with business objectives.
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and system logs.
Provide training and support to end-users, addressing application-related inquiries.
Coordinate with vendors and information technology teams for application support and integration projects.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and data protection regulations.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer System Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 12 years of experience in application administration, information technology support, or a related role.
Hands-on experience with enterprise applications such as Enterprise Resource Planning, Customer Relationship Management platforms, or database systems.
Proficiency in managing cloud-based applications and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Strong knowledge of system administration tools and technologies, such as monitoring software or automation tools.
Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Information Technology Infrastructure Library Foundation, or other platform-specific certifications, are highly desirable.
Familiarity with information technology security standards and data management practices.
