The Stadium Marketing and Events Manager represents the agency at industry functions by organizing and arranging trade show booths to advertise the stadium at its fullest potential. Interfaces with internet marketing to create and manage online sponsorship programs to ensure a steady stream of prospects and future sales. Manages event activities by customizing and presenting proposals, servicing and revising event contracts, monitoring specific event issues, conducting event follow-up and providing support. Oversees the work of a small part-time staff and contracted vendors; works closely with the Stadium Executive Director and marketing team. Schedules events for the stadium all the way from setup to breakdown, including all the logistics that go into event planning. Inventories products for events. Schedules the media during events. Loads tents and sets up displays for special events. Recruits workers for special events. Monitors websites and social media sites. Sends out for bids and quotes on larger events.

Salary Range: $40,340.00 - $58,493.00

Summary

The Stadium Marketing/Event Manager is responsible for building and leading all phases of a sponsorship and marketing program including developing and maintaining a marketing plan for the sponsor program to meet or exceed the overall business objectives, prospecting sponsors, customizing and presenting proposals, servicing and revising contracts, providing sponsor follow-up and support and developing and implementing marketing and sales plan to recruit events and activities for the agency. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.

Functions

Develops and implements a sponsorship sales plan for increasing revenues in a cost-effective manner, targeting increased sponsorship sales and creation of sponsorship products and licensing deals. Develops and implements a sponsorship and advertising budget to achieve sales plan; prepares sponsorship invoices and records payments; makes deposits and reconciles monthly for review and approval by the Stadium Executive Director. Develops, maintains and implements sponsorship program guidelines to increase sponsorship recruitment, satisfaction and support; monitors all aspects of the business including the website pages, social media pages, physical postings around stadium, etc., and ensures sponsorship guideline and contract compliance. Manages sponsorship and marketing activities by conducting sponsor prospecting, customizing and presenting proposals, servicing and revising contracts, monitoring specific event issues, conducting sponsor follow-up and providing support. Represents the agency at industry functions by organizing and arranging trade show booths to advertise the stadium at its fullest potential. Interfaces with internet marketing to create and manage online sponsorship programs to ensure a steady stream of prospects and future sales. Submits marketing plans, prospect activities and forecast reports; provides updates to staff as needed or as requested. Oversees the work of a small part-time staff and advertising vendors; works closely with the Stadium Executive Director and marketing team. Performs other duties as assigned.

Dimensions

Occasional air and vehicle travel is required; occasional overnight travel is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of the principles, practices and theory of marketing, advertising and promotions. Knowledge of sales marketing and sponsorship planning and policies and procedures development, implementation and evaluation. Knowledge of state and federal accounting, budgeting, human resource management and purchasing/contracting laws, rules, and regulations. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Quickbooks and other computer program software operations and functions and other office equipment, including telephones, calculators, copiers, fax machines, etc. Ability to develop, implement and evaluate sponsorship sales plans and marketing activities. Ability to develop, implement and assess a sponsorship budget. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with sponsorship partners, Ability to interpret, analyze and maintain accounting, financial reports and records and legal documents for sales and marketing purposes. Ability to understand, prepare and reconcile records and reports including cash receipts and daily transactions. Ability to reason using statistical calculation applications, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and other analytics. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite, Ouickbooks, and other computer program software operations and functions and other office equipment. Ability to plan, organize, and oversee the work of others. Ability to communicate effectively by verbal or written means.

Minimum Qualifications

The formal education equivalent of a bachelors degree in marketing, public relations or a related field; plus three years of progressively more responsible experience in retail or sponsorship marketing or a related field, including one year in a leadership capacity.

Licenses

A valid Arkansas drivers license is required.
