Job duties:
Oversees the Arkansas Children Trust Fund to promote and develop programs aimed at primary child abuse and neglect prevention.
Oversees the Community Based Child Abuse and Prevention (CBCAP) federal grant to help fund programs for primary prevention and to promote child abuse and neglect awareness.
Recruits for, and works closely with, the Parent Advisory Council (PAC). The Council is made up of people who have needed social services previously, whose experience with the System helps guide policy for DCFS.
Responsible for the WIC Baby and Me Program, partnering with the Department of Health and the University of Arkansas Little Rock. Expansion of the Community School initiative, promoting activities and community awareness during the Child Abuse Prevention month.
Responsible for exploring new and innovative ways to enhance primary prevention efforts in Arkansas. Works closely with procurement and finance to develop new grants or contracts opportunities for prevention programs in Arkansas. Identify systemic issues found during child fatality reviews at both the local and state level. Determines the services or community awareness efforts needed to fund child prevention efforts for child fatalities in the state.
Preferred experience:
Experience managing primary prevention programs and experience with managing a budget. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of four years of work experience in human services programs or public service work, including one year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
Required to have a background check and child/adult maltreatment registry check.
