This position will require the applicant to be able to research and apply new ways of doing things and explain them to the team. This position will also maintain existing applications. A desire to learn and willingness to improve one’s skillset is necessary. Maintaining good communication with team members and stakeholders is necessary. Other skills include:


·         A desire to work as a team and follow management’s lead

·         Strong skills in SQL related to the following

o   Table structure

o   Joining tables

o   Stored procedures

o   Indexes

o   Knowledge of SQL native functions such as Coalesce, Convert, Tryconvert, etc.

o   Understanding of SQL data types

·         Knowledge of C# or similar language and being able to describe the following:

o   Control flow

o   MVC

o   SOLID principles

o   Classes

o   Methods

o   Inheritance

o   C# native functions

·         Familiarity with Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio

·         Experience with SSIS is a plus including knowledge of:

o   Script tasks

o   SQL tasks

o   Connection managers

o   Data flows

·         Experience with SSRS is a plus

·         Ability to flow chart processes or the desire to learn how

Salary Range: $57,755.00 - $83,745.00


The Senior Technology Analyst position is responsible for supporting, facilitating, preparing, and developing the policies, standards, and guidelines relating to information technology and on-going operations of the Arkansas Enterprise Architecture program. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.


Develops and publishes policies, standards, and guidelines relating to information technology. Evaluates, designs, implements, and maintains databases, writes code, verifies data, and constructs complex reports. Provides technical assistance in software applications and problem solving to agency personnel. Tests technologies for compliance with accessibility laws and standards for internal and external entities. Produces reports, graphic art, visual materials, and other electronic and paper documents for presentations, websites, and publications for agency outreach. Assists in the development of the Arkansas Enterprise Architecture policies, standards, and guidelines. Provides and maintains ongoing design of websites to ensure consistency in style, tone, and quality of the organization's site. Performs research and data analysis and utilizes reporting tools for project design. Performs other duties as assigned.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of principles and processes for of customer service. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional Suite automation and interoperability. Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Ability to develop, design, edit, and maintain websites. Ability to prepare and deliver public presentations related to information technology. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.

Minimum Qualifications

The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, or related field; plus three years of experience in system analysis, telecommunications, information technology, information security, or other related field. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management.
