Job Duties:

Medical review and data correction of claims suspended for various edits, audits or pricing; Prepare and discuss specific reviews with medical consultants; Assists providers, members and vendors with issues related to medical review or coding via calls, emails, meetings or in person; Review provider reconsiderations for medical necessity and communicate decisions with vendors and providers; Maintain appropriate logs for various reviews; Complete monthly vendor audits including medical review as well as system processing review; Medical review of requests for special handled claims. Prepares approved claims for special processing through vendor; Quality Assurance Reviews; Maintains documentation including verifying uploaded documentation for accuracy.

The formal education equivalent of a diploma, associates, or bachelor's degree in nursing. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing in accordance with ACA 17-87-301. Knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS and CPT desired. Experience with electronic medical records a plus. Familiarity with medical record review and recent acute care experience desired. Attention to detail, willing to learn, organized, ability to multitask and willingness to be a team player are also desired for this position. This is a non-clinical, office-based position.

Job Summary

Registered Nurses (RNs) provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community health programs. RNs assess patient health, develop care plans, administer treatments, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Primary Responsibilities

Assess patient health, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with medical orders. Develop, implement, and update patient care plans. Educate patients and families on health conditions and wellness practices. Participate in multidisciplinary care teams to plan and implement care strategies. Maintain accurate patient records and comply with health regulations.

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures. Ability to perform physical assessments and recognize changes in patient condition. Proficiency in administering medications and treatments safely. Strong communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Arkansas.
