Additional Preferences:
Routine in-state travel, with occasional overnight stays, will be required. A valid driver’s license is required. Frequent twenty-four (24) hour on-call duty may be required.
Must be able to work outdoors and on construction sites. May be exposed to hazards in the field or in the laboratory.
Experience in the field of drinking water and/or wastewater preferred.
Must be able to lift forty (40) pounds.

Job Summary
Primary Responsibilities
Knowledge and Skills

Deep technical knowledge and the ability to understand and critically assess complex engineering problems. Experience with modern design methodologies, process improvement strategies, and emerging technologies. Proficient in planning, coordinating, and executing projects while managing multiple priorities. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Lean, or Project Management Professional) that drive operational efficiency. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical information to non-technical audiences. Proven ability to collaborate across sections and external personnel to deliver integrated solutions. Demonstrated analytical skills applied to troubleshooting, risk management, and strategic decision-making. Ability to foresee challenges, evaluate alternatives, and implement sustainable solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license as issued by the appropriate state licensing board.
Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive engineering experience, including complex design projects and a track record of adherence to regulatory and quality standards, including three (3) years of supervisory experience.
