Job Duties:
The LCSW (Conditional Release Monitor) is responsible for supervising clients ordered to the Department of Human Services for conditional release monitoring and ensuring compliance with court-ordered conditions. Duties include conducting regular meetings with clients, treatment providers, and family members; attending court hearings related to conditional release; completing routine and incident documentation; and coordinating with community providers to maintain appropriate placement and continuity of care. The position requires a clinical license to assess risk, evaluate client stability, and support informed decision-making regarding public safety and client treatment needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW).
• Knowledge of conditional release statutes, probate court procedures, and applicable state and federal laws governing forensic behavioral health services.
• Experience working with the court system, including preparing court reports and legal documentation, providing sworn testimony, and collaborating with judges, attorneys, and other legal stakeholders.
• Experience providing direct services to individuals with serious mental illness who have involvement in the criminal justice system.
• Knowledge of forensic behavioral health systems, community mental health services, and the continuum of care for justice-involved individuals.
• Proficiency in the Quickbase data management system and experience maintaining accurate, timely, and confidential documentation.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, including the ability to assess behavioral health needs, evaluate dynamic and static risk factors, and develop risk management strategies to support community safety and client stability.
• Ability to coordinate services with treatment providers, community partners, family members, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with court-ordered conditions and appropriate placement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise reports and effectively communicate clinical information in legal and multidisciplinary settings.
• Excellent organizational, critical thinking, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize competing responsibilities, and respond effectively to emergent situations.
• Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment, maintain professional boundaries, and make independent decisions in complex and high-risk situations.
