Agency-Specific Role Focus:
This position primarily manages application, web-based, and business solution projects rather than infrastructure, cybersecurity operations, or network engineering efforts. The role is responsible for full lifecycle delivery of software implementations, SaaS platforms, digital services, and business process modernization initiatives. Responsibilities include scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, vendor coordination, stakeholder engagement, requirements alignment, user acceptance activities, and deployment planning to ensure solutions deliver measurable business value.
Agency-Specific Experience Expectations:
Successful candidates will demonstrate direct project leadership experience managing technology or business system projects from initiation through closeout using established project management practices and tools. Candidates should have experience leading cross-functional teams, coordinating business stakeholders, and producing formal project artifacts such as project plans, schedules, status reports, and risk/issue logs. Familiarity with structured methodologies (PMBOK-based, Agile, or hybrid approaches) and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar) is strongly desired. Experience limited to technical operations, cybersecurity, or network administration without responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder management does not meet the core expectations of this role.
This position will be in the DFA Office of Information Services Project Management Office. The position will serve as a Project Manager and is responsible for leading and coordinating projects from start to finish. They ensure that assigned projects are completed on time, within budget, and meets the required quality standards.

Minimum of three years of experience in project management engineering, systems administration, or a related field.
