Program Coordinator works under direct supervision of the program manager to guide and support beneficiaries, families, DDS providers and PASSE's by providing technical assistance, advocacy, direction, and mentorship in program development and delivery in a timely manner.
Program Coordinator will oversee the collection, analysis and reporting of program performance data. Program Coordinator will assist in determining program eligibility for developmental disability services, send referrals to intake and referral as well as other program services as needed, work constituent concerns, gather information for appropriate program admissions/discharges/transitions in service deliveries, respond to telephone and email request for assistance, and other duties as assigned.
Coordinate with internal and external partners including local health units, schools, non-profit organizations and other agencies to promote community-based services. Program Coordinator will interpret policy and guidelines specific to the rights and responsibilities of our beneficiaries and families. Implement and comply with laws, regulations, legal mandates, action plans and agency policy. Program Coordinator will travel within the state as needed.
Preferred Qualifcations:
A bachelor’s degree in public health, health science, social work, education, public administration, or a closely related field or (5) years of experience in customer service AND public health, program coordination, or health education. Satisfaction of the minimum qualifications, including years of experience and service, does not entitle employees to automatic progression within the job series. Promotion to the next classification level is at the discretion of the department and the Office of Personnel Management, taking into consideration the employee’s demonstrated skills, competencies, performance, workload responsibilities, and organizational needs.

Job Summary
Primary Responsibilities
Knowledge and Skills
Strong understanding of public health principles, program planning, evaluation methods, and evidence-based interventions. Knowledge of state and federal public health regulations, funding requirements, and data reporting protocols. Proficient in the use of data analysis tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and other program-specific tracking software. Ability to interpret public health data and apply findings to programmatic decisions and communications.
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in public health, health science, social work, education, public administration, or a closely related field, plus two (2) years of experience in public health, program coordination, or health education.
