The State Opioid Treatment Authority is a federally mandated role responsible for regulatory compliance of state methadone clinics.
The Department of Human Services (DHS) Program Manager is responsible for federal exception requests, visits all methadone clinics annually and as requested, manages complaints, acknowledges providers dose increase, coordinates with SAMHSA CSAT staff for opening, monitoring, or closing clinics; monitors federal rule changes; advocates for patients, educates public and brings awareness to the need for treatment for opioid use disorder. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy. Some overnight travel is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years of experience in substance use services and treatment related work.
3 years of experience in making public presentations.
3 years of experience in leadership skills and strong management background.
2 years of experience in financial systems and grant administration program to secure funding.
2 years of experience in program planning with both governmental and non-governmental agencies.

Job Summary
Primary Responsibilities
Knowledge and Skills
Strong understanding of public health principles, program planning, evaluation methods, and evidence-based interventions. Knowledge of state and federal public health regulations, funding requirements, and data reporting protocols. Proficient in the use of data analysis tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and other program-specific tracking software. Ability to interpret public health data and apply findings to programmatic decisions and communications.
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in public health, health science, social work, education, public administration, or a closely related field, plus two (2) years of experience in public health, program coordination, or health education.
