• Experience with Public Assistance Cost Allocation Plans (PACAP) and how they are used to allocate general overhead and grant allocated costs
• Ability to pay attention to detail, manage several grant awards and complete timely reports.
• Ability to keep proper documentation of work and communicate reporting outcomes to divisions

Job Summary
The Grants Supervisor/Expert is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the grants team and providing specialized expertise in complex grant management tasks. This position ensures that grant proposals, contracts, and reporting comply with established guidelines and that the team provides accurate and efficient support to grant recipients and external stakeholders. The Grants Supervisor/Expert is a subject matter expert in grants management processes, providing mentorship and guidance to junior staff.
Primary Responsibilities
The assignment of supervisory duties is determined by the hiring agency's operational needs. Non-supervisory roles will serve as senior technical experts.
Supervise the grants team, providing guidance and oversight on the preparation, review, and administration of grants.
Review complex grant proposals and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Provide expert advice on the preparation of grant applications, budgets, and reports.
Assist in developing and revising grant policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
Coordinate and facilitate training for staff on grants management best practices and regulations.
Serve as the point of contact for high-level or complex grant management issues and provide solutions as needed.
Monitor the progress of active grants, identifying potential issues or risks and ensuring they are addressed promptly.
Knowledge and Skills
Strong understanding of federal and state funding regulations and compliance.
Expertise in the preparation, review, and management of complex grant proposals and reports.
Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
Strong analytical skills for assessing grant effectiveness and risk management.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and grant recipients.
Proficiency in grants management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, accounting, or a related field preferred. Four years of experience in grants management or related, with at least one year in a supervisory or expert capacity.
