Position Summary
The Grants Coordinator is primarily responsible for the management of grants for the agency, including daily grants management needs, grant reporting, and grants budgeting. The position also serves to assist the Accounting Coordinator over Grants and Funds Management. This position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, state and federal laws and agency policy.
Education and Professional Work Experience
Minimum Qualifications
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field; plus, two years of experience in program planning, grant administration, or a related area.
Preferred Qualification
- Knowledge of a case management systems and Uniform Grant Guidance.
- Experience managing Federal Grants and grant reporting.
- Knowledge with computers and computer software such as Microsoft Office (Outlook,Excel, and Word).
- Experience with AASIS Software or SAP-based software preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of financial grants management.
- Knowledge of grant implementation, monitoring, and fiscal control practices.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing grant administration.
- Knowledge of state budgetary and accounting principles and practices.
- Ability to review, monitor, and administer grant contracts.
- Ability to research, interpret, and apply state and federal laws and regulations governing grants administration.
- Ability to develop, monitor, and evaluate grant program compliance.
- Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written technical information and materials.

Job Responsibilities and Expected Results
- Record daily obligations to grants to satisfy period of performance requirements and reconcile against Case Management System obligations and AASIS obligations.
- Record daily liquidations against obligations and reconcile against Case Management System liquidations and AASIS liquidations.
- Daily monitor state treasury funds.
- Prepare federal grant reports to be reviewed by Grants Manager.
- Prepare daily grant draw calculations to be reviewed by Grants Manager.
- Prepare budgetary figures for the Case Management System.
- Prepare daily status reports of grant balances, unliquidated obligations, and liquidations.
- Assist Grants Manager with reports as needed.
- Create desk reference to be placed on the P: drive.
- Provide shared services to Division of Services for the Blind.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
