This position will be responsible for researching and preparing special reports, examining and verifying documents, and performing general office duties. Composes and type routine correspondence and form letters, maintains activity logs, and submits reports to supervisor. Reviews documents including applications, forms, records, and reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with laws and regulations, makes necessary corrections, and assigns file numbers. Provides information, assistance, and clarification to interested parties concerning agency/institution policies and procedures. Other duties to be performed include:

  • Modify record data in the computer system.
  • Verify Sex Offender Records.
  • Sort/Alphabetize Files and Documents
  • Scan sex offender records into imaging system
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Fiscal Support Specialist provides entry-level fiscal support within a department or agency. This role focuses on performing routine accounting and fiscal tasks such as data entry, processing invoices, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports and budgets.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist in processing invoices, payments, and financial records. Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records. Assist in the preparation of budget documentation and reports. Review financial documents for accuracy and completeness. Respond to basic fiscal inquiries and provide general support to fiscal staff.

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of accounting principles and financial management practices. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to learn and apply fiscal processes and systems. Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
