Position Specifics:

This position is based in the Little Rock Regulatory Enforcement Division, a law enforcement agency environment. Applicants must be able to successfully complete and pass an extensive background investigation and obtain and maintain any required security clearances or system access authorizations associated with the position. This is a safety sensitive position. 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with Arkansas state procurement, purchasing, and fiscal procedures is preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheet development, data tracking, reporting, formulas, and financial reconciliation. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple assignments, priorities, deadlines, and administrative processes effectively. Strong administrative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and support fiscal and operational functions

Job Summary

The Fiscal Support Coordinator is responsible for coordinating fiscal processes within an agency, ensuring the proper handling of financial documentation, and supporting the preparation of budgets and reports. This role focuses on ensuring the timely and accurate completion of fiscal support functions, such as accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and financial documentation.

Primary Responsibilities

Coordinate the preparation of financial reports, budget requests, and records. Ensure that financial transactions are processed and recorded accurately. Assist with the administration of accounts payable/receivable and other fiscal duties. Maintain financial records and files in compliance with regulations. Serve as a point of contact for fiscal-related questions and issues. Assist in audits and ensure compliance with financial standards.

Knowledge and Skills

Understanding of accounting principles and financial management processes. Strong organizational and time management skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data. Ability to work collaboratively with various departments. Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience, preferred. One to three years of experience in fiscal support or related field.

Promotion to the next classification level is at the discretion of the department and the Office of Personnel Management, taking into consideration the employee’s demonstrated skills, competencies, performance, workload responsibilities, and organizational needs.
