Special Work Conditions: This position is responsible for: manning the inquiry queue daily, screen foster/adoptive applicants, coordinating background checks including fingerprinting. This position works primarily with all Recruitment Partner applicants and carries a case load of 20 to 30 providers 99 percent of the time. Running all criminal background checks including state and FBI for applicants. Compile all necessary documents for Resource Packets. Obtain 3 references for all applicants. Input all data into CHRIS and Edoctus. Collect dispositions as well as explanations of offenses from applicants with criminal histories and conference with supervisor on certain offenses to determine eligibility for future waiver process. Strong assessment skills and attention to detail are required. Criminal Background check cross trained to run all checks for approximately 430 staff analyzing all forms received to ensure information will pass FBI audits make appropriate corrections are made and no checks are run for invalid reasons input data from every check into multiple programs upload all checks ran into Edoctus for viewing by those that have been granted access to records. Evaluate criminal backgrounds and adjudicate eligibility correctly. Review and evaluate identification records for illegal immigrants to determine ability to run checks on these provisional applicants Disseminate pseudo social security numbers for record keeping purposes Pulling all FBI results, adjudicating, and uploading information into all programs.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in working with children and/or families, some experience with community engagement or community resources. Public speaking and computer experience preferred. Organizational skills are a must.
