Additional Preferences:
Frequent in-state travel required. Must have a valid Arkansas Driver’s License. May be required to assist other Local Heath Units with inspections in any part of the Central Region as needed.
Some alternative or non-traditional work hours and special clinic hours outside of normal operating hours are required. Office starting and ending work times may vary and include extended hours and weekend rotation during a Public Health Emergency or Pandemic. Position required to carry a cell phone 24/7/365 and respond to emergencies.
Soils training and experience is preferred.
Participation in Hometown Health activities is required.
Occasional heavy lifting is required.
A minimum of thirty (30) college hours in Science is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, natural sciences or a related field. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
