This position will serve in a support role for the Engineering and Architectural units of the Planning and Development section of Arkansas State Parks. Duties include filing, drafting, and reviewing and producing documents such as plans and specifications, contracts, pay estimates, change orders, correspondence, and reports, as well as routing, copying, and distributing documents. Applicant will aid in researching information for special projects and reports, maintaining vehicles and equipment, and will provide technical assistance to the field staff as required. In state travel is required, and computer skills in AutoCAD, Windows and Microsoft Office are a must. Experience with Revit or Civil 3D is a plus.
Applicants must meet or exceed these qualifications: The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus two years of vocational or college training in pre-engineering, drafting, or related field.
Preferred Requirements: Three years of experience in drafting or construction related jobs. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee.
