Job Summary
Primary Responsibilities
The assignment of supervisory duties is determined by the hiring agency's operational needs. Non-supervisory roles will serve as senior technical experts. Supervise, train, and evaluate dieticians and food service staff, ensuring adherence to dietary guidelines, regulations, and facility protocols. Assign and monitor workloads, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews for staff. Ensure that dietitians under supervision create accurate and effective nutrition care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams. Ensure all nutrition services comply with state and federal regulations, including those set by the Arkansas Department of Health and other regulatory bodies. Develop and implement ongoing training programs for dieticians and food service staff on current nutrition practices, regulatory requirements, and food safety. Act as a resource for the healthcare team on nutritional matters, providing expert advice on medical nutrition therapy, diet modifications, and nutrition-related medical conditions.
Knowledge and Skills
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited institution plus three (3) years of experience in public health, program coordination or health education.
