***This position will be based in Central Arkansas but will provide inspection coverage statewide.
Applicants must be a minimum of a Journeyman with 5 years' experience. Must pass the Master's test within one year.
***Electrician with a Master Electrician License is preferred
Typical Job Functions: Observes workers and verifies proper licensure for work being performed, ensures journeyman/apprentice ratios are appropriate on jobs being performed, investigates accidents to ascertain causes for use in recommending preventive measures, inspects wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures such as switches, circuit breakers and fuse boxes for conformance to specifications and national, state or local electrical codes. Assists city inspectors as requested, tests areas for proper grounding, strapping of conduits and terminations of conductors, prepares reports of all findings, citing articles and sections of code violations found, recommends corrective action for violations found, frequent in-state travel with overnight travel, attends a minimum of 12 hours required training per year, provide testimony inboard and/or court hearings as necessary.
