The EngageAR-Arkansas Service Commission AmeriCorps Program Manager has primary responsibility for oversight, monitoring and evaluation of service and sub-recipient programs. In the absence of the Director, this position has primary responsibility for the day to day activities of the staff.
AmeriCorps Sub-Recipient Monitoring
- Implement financial, operation and administrative programs of the AmeriCorps sub-recipient program in compliance with the federal Corporation for National and Community Service, including the Notice of Funding Opportunity, sub-application review and approval process, monitoring, with emphasis upon fiscal management
- Create and maintain tracking/monitoring systems to meet federal grant compliance requirements; communicate policy and procedures to Program Officers; maintains fiscal records and oversees processing of monthly sub-recipient invoices
- Conduct bi-annual site visits and annual desk reviews of sub-recipients to ensure compliance with grant provisions and applicable federal regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate quarterly Program Officer Program reports determining effectiveness of programs and adherence to goals and objectives, as well as the State Service Plan
- Review and analyze federal regulations, state laws and AmeriCorps administrative requirements to formulate appropriate policies and procedures for successful implementation of AmeriCorps programs
- Complete research on best practices; collect data; analyze and develop reports; maintain statistical information on program performance and communicates data to stakeholders
AmeriCorps Program Development and Strategic Planning
- Stay abreast of developments and trends within the field of national and community service by reading professional publications and attending local, state, national and international conferences and symposiums
- Promote community and national service as a means of community problem solving, facilitate cooperation of government and community groups to address community problems
- Serve as specialist in Program Planning Grants
EngageAR Office Management
- Participate in America Service Commission committees
- Participate in professional and volunteer committees, conferences, boards, and task forces to foster an ethic of service and promote national service
- Manage fiscal accounting for the office, including all state general revenue, Commission Support Grant, Commission Investment Fund and other revenue
- Work to support Commissioners, participating in sub-committees, providing training, information and resources
- Participate in National Days of Service
- Attend all special and recognition events
- Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned
Annually complete the CNCS’ National Service Criminal History Check and maintain certificate in personnel file
