Summary
A Constituent Service Advisor functions as a nonpartisan Senate staff member who assists the members of the Arkansas Senate in researching, investigating, and responding to constituent inquiries, concerns, and requests. This role involves serving as a liaison between constituents, Senators, and various levels of government. The position is full-time and located in Little Rock, Arkansas. We are looking for a trusty-worthy person with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. Candidates should be able to assist staff and Senators by handling office tasks, providing polite and professional assistance and communications, and generally being a helpful presence in the workplace.
The position requires one to exercise discretion and be responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. Duties are to be completed accurately and promptly with high quality. Candidates need to be able to become familiar quickly with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures.
Candidates should be professional, polite, and attentive while also being precise. They should be prepared, responsive, and willing to meet each challenge. Candidates must be comfortable with computers, general office tasks, and excel at both verbal and written communication. Most importantly, one should have a genuine desire to meet the needs of others.
Functions
• Compose and prepare various types of correspondence. This position will require the extensive production of important routine written material.
• Research assignments and other issues utilizing a variety of resources.
• Maintain case files using an in-house database.
• Maintain information in a confidential and discreet manner in daily activities.
• Contribute to the team effort and anticipate the needs of others.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

• Problem-solving skills with discretion and judgment.
• Assist Senators with a variety of requests related to their elected position.
• Perform general administrative duties and other tasks as assigned or upon request.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is required. Postgraduate education is a plus. A background check is required.
Knowledge and/or experience with government agencies, programs, and services, as well as legislative processes. Knowledge of Windows 365, Microsoft Office, Unity, and other computer and word processing applications. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
