The Budget Specialist provides financial support and assistance to the Division of Children and Family Services. This position works under the direction of the Financial Section Manager and is responsible for assisting in the overall duties associated with accounts payable, purchasing cards, purchase orders and other financial monitoring and reporting for the division. This position ensures the proper coding is used for all transactions and verifies proper documentation is submitted. Monitors and reconciles the CTS (travel) account. Processes DCFS vehicle logs and enter mileage, gas and maintenance cost to the DHS Vehicle Services reporting data base. Maintains maintenance on pool cars.

Minimum Qualifications
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management.
