Job Duties: Researches, analyzes, and evaluates agency operations, funding sources, programs, and fiscal records to determine budgetary needs and effects of new programs. Reviews budget requests from agencies to determine completeness, accuracy, compliance with current regulations, and problem areas. Meets with agency directors and/or fiscal personnel to obtain additional information, discuss budgetary needs, and to provide advice on budgetary procedural problems. Collaborates closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on key projects to support the Department's overall financial strategy and operational alignment. Provides technical assistance to agencies concerning a variety of fiscal-related activities. Performs other duties as assigned.
Applicants must meet or exceed the following qualifications: The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, financial management, general business, or a related field; plus two years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Minimum Qualifications
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, financial management, general business or a related field. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
