The Arkansas Department of Shared Administrative Services' goal is to create a more efficient government through epic service delivery and collaboration across state government. The department is comprised of the Office of the Secretary, the Arkansas Geographic Information Systems Office, the Division of Building Authority, the Division of Information Systems, the Employee Benefits Division, the Office of Personnel Management, and the Office of State Procurement.
This position will Work directly with customers to understand application requests, clarify requirements, and develop estimates for programming changes or enhancements.
Design, develop, and support web applications across both front-end and back-end components.
Monitor multiple application processes and troubleshoot issues in development and production environments.
Develop and maintain integrations using APIs and SQL-based data access.
Collaborate with peers to migrate and modernize applications to supported platforms and versions (e.g., .NET Framework, Windows Server, SQL Server).
Participate in a team-based support model to manage assignments, balance workloads, and progressively learn supported applications and business processes.
Support testing, deployment, and post-deployment troubleshooting to ensure stable application operation
- Working knowledge of WordPress administration and website support

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven expertise in at least one programming language and familiarity with databases such as MySQL or MongoDB may be required.
Experience in using frameworks such as .NET, Django, or React may be required.
Satisfaction of the minimum qualifications, including years of experience and service, does not entitle employees to automatic progression within the job series. Promotion to the next classification level is at the discretion of the department and the Office of Personnel Management, taking into consideration the employee’s demonstrated skills, competencies, performance, workload responsibilities, and organizational needs.
Licensure/Certifications
Experience with .NET development, preferably VB .NETExperience developing or supporting full-stack web applications.
Working knowledge of SQL for troubleshooting, data validation, and issue resolution.
Experience working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Ability to work directly with customers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Experience participating in application upgrades or platform modernization efforts.
Strong team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration, transparency, and shared ownership
