The ADMINISTRATIVE ANALYST is responsible for coordinating and facilitating payment of services on behalf of indigent defendants among trial public defenders, private attorneys, investigators, interpreters, mitigation specialist and other various experts and court staff.
Functions
Manage and execute the Retained Attorney process, the Public Defender certification process, Payment Request for Professional Services. Communicate and correspond with our Executive Director on authorizations as it relates to the above processes. Performs other duties and participates on special projects, as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of the court system in the state of Arkansas at the trial level. Knowledge of filing and record keeping techniques. Must be proficient in utilizing Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word, and Excel. Ability to prepare detailed written reports and function in a team environment. Three years knowledge of these three processes, is preferred: Retained Attorney process, Public Defender certification process, Payment Request for Professional Services.

Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, plus three (3) years of experience in administrative roles.
Satisfaction of the minimum qualifications, including years of experience and service, does not entitle employees to automatic progression within the job series. Promotion to the next classification level is at the discretion of the department and the Office of Personnel Management, taking into consideration the employee’s demonstrated skills, competencies, performance, workload responsibilities, and organizational needs.
