Position Summary

 

The ACOM Rehab Program Coordinator position will function as the Accounts Receivable Specialist for the agency. The position will be primarily responsible for the accurate and timely processing of journal entries and all banking transactions for ARS supporting mission to assist disabled Arkansans.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience with federal fiscal grants in Vocational Rehabilitation, federal fiscal guidelines, and reporting.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Experience with computers and computer software like Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • Experience with AASIS Software or SAP-based software.

 

Key Business Processes/Duties

 

  1. Prepare and process check deposits into AASIS for all funds received by the Agency and prepare reports to DFA/Treasury.
  2. Report prior year and current year reclaims for expenditures to DFA.
  3. Process all voids and reissue checks to DFA.
  4. Process all journal entries into AASIS for Revenue Receipt Corrections and Expense Error Corrections.
  5. Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and other fiscal reporting mechanisms and review and audit fiscal information for accuracy and quality assurance.
  6. Provide various reports, including Y-voucher at state year-end closing to the Chief Fiscal Officer.
  7. Post transactions to journals and/or ledgers, balance entries, and reconcile errors manually or electronically.
  8. Create desk reference to place on SharePoint.
  9. Provide shared services to the Division of Services for the Blind.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

The Rehabilitation Program Coordinator is responsible for directing the overall operations of a specific rehabilitation program. This position is governed state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Functions

Provides administrative direction to subordinate staff by developing and establishing short and long term program goals and objectives, administering and evaluating project assignments, and providing interpretation of policies and laws in the absence of precedents to resolve issues and achieve implementation of project goals and objectives. Interviews, hires, assigns, and reviews work and evaluates performance of incumbents. Assists program participants with both short and long-range planning in the areas of: management, personnel, marketing, merchandising, profitability, and/or public relations. Develops and updates training and program manuals and recommends policies and procedures in response to updated and revised federal and state regulations. Provides technical assistance to program participants by explaining program goals and participant eligibility criteria. Conducts conferences and plans training programs to maintain proficiency of staff in therapy techniques and use of new methods and equipment to meet clients' needs. Allocates and manages a budget from multiple fund sources in compliance with state and federal programs and administrative regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in general business, public administration, or a related field; plus four years of experience in planning and evaluating programs. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
