Job Duties: The position is responsible for analyzing financial information and preparing reports related to the financial activities of property, plant, and equipment. Tracks capital improvements expenditures, maintains the asset under construction by project database, ensures timely asset capitalization and records direct capital asset acquisitions and disposals. Develops and maintains manual or automated accounting records, produces monthly reconciliations. Produces and reviews method of financing and prepares fund transfers, as necessary. Prepares spreadsheets and database files from automated information systems, monitors purchasing procedures of section personnel, makes decisions regarding account responsibility of expenditures, and instructs new employees on procedures. Participates in the development of new accounting techniques in the design and implementation. Monitors accounting system as it pertains to construction budgeting, job cost purchase orders, and construction contracts. Preparation of year-end schedules for CAFR, recording all buildings, land, and infrastructures for the agency. Performing other auditing and reconciling tasks as directed by supervisor. A criminal background check is required.
Minimum qualifications are: The formal education of a bachelor's degree in accounting; plus one year of experience in accounting or a related field.

Minimum Qualifications
The formal education of a bachelor's degree in accounting. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management.
