Position Specifics:

Summary

The DFA Intern assists with projects specific to the business needs of the assigned Department. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Functions

Intern duties may include, but are not limited to, research, database management, attending relevant meetings, drafting written correspondence, creating professional presentations, reviewing policies and procedures, providing technical assistance, and other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook is required. Preferred applicants will possess strong verbal and written communications skills, a willingness to work as a team, and time management skills.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must be a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student currently enrolled at an accredited college or university. Recent graduates of an accredited college or university may also be considered. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
