The ACOM Rehab Area Manager will serve Region 2, which covers Jonesboro and Batesville.

  1. Supervises professional and administrative support staff by interviewing and recommending for hire, assigning and reviewing work, training new employees, and evaluating the performance of incumbents.
  2. Plan, implements, and direct service delivery and responsiveness and provides support and supervisions of case management and compliance.
  3. Perform administrative duties, reporting, data collection, and fiscal Management and analyzes daily workloads and assignments.
  4. Calculates program expenditures, review case records, and reports, and communicates with staff and the general public.
  5. Serve as a team member for policy development and implementation of agency guidelines.

Summary

The Rehabilitation Area Manager is responsible for providing leadership, daily supervision, and planning and assures policy compliance for service delivery. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Functions

Supervises a small to medium-sized professional and administrative support staff by interviewing and recommending for hire, assigning and reviewing work, training new employees, and evaluating the performance of incumbents. Plans, implements, and directs service delivery and responsiveness and provides support and supervision of case management and compliance. Performs administrative duties, reporting, data collections, and fiscal management and analyzes daily work loads and assignments. Calculates program expenditures, reviews case records and reports, and communicates with staff and the general public. Serves as a team member for policy development and implementation of agency guidelines Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of public rehabilitation and service delivery. Knowledge of case management and ethical practice. Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures. Skills in personnel development and training.

Minimum Qualifications

The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, or a related area; plus four years of experience in program organization and administration, including two years in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB-RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
