The Skilled Tradesman is responsible for specialized trail maintenance along the 84-mile Delta Heritage Trail. This position supervises multiple maintenance teams and works closely with the Assistant Superintendent to plan and execute trail projects including bridge repair, resurfacing, erosion mitigation, herbicide application, and vegetation management. The position also oversees the operation, maintenance, and repair of heavy equipment, power tools, and maintenance vehicles.
Delta Heritage Trail is large and remote, with a 2-hour drive from end to end and limited cell phone signal. This is a highly active position requiring frequent travel by truck, UTV, bicycle, or on foot to supervise crew, inspect the trail and trailheads, and respond to maintenance needs.
Must have experience in trail maintenance, equipment repair, and supervisory experience leading crews with trail maintenance or similar outdoor operations. A Commercial Driver's License is preferred. The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership, decision making, and ability to prioritize multiple projects while independently working independently in remote and vast park environment.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required, plus at least two (2) years of experience in one or more skilled trades.
