Position Summary
The Rehabilitation Manager oversees the team of rehabilitation instructors and other rehabilitation personnel, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to individuals with disabilities or physical limitations. This leadership role involves strategic planning, personnel supervision, program development, and quality assurance. The Rehabilitation Manager is responsible for fostering a collaborative environment, providing guidance and mentorship, and maintaining compliance with pre-determined regulatory standards. By combining administrative expertise with a deep understanding of rehabilitation practices, the manager ensures the effective operation of rehabilitation programs.
This position requires on-site employment with no remote or hybrid options available.
Preferred Qualification
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products is required, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
Database management experience is preferred.
The candidate must effectively communicate orally and in writing.
Master's degree in one of the above listed disciplines and licensed as a counselor in accordance with ACA l 7-27-301 or certified as a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor in accordance with the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification.
Job Responsibilities and Expected Results
- Provide support and training to staff on procedures and policies for specialized programs in Pre Employment Transition in high school throughout the State of Arkansas.
- Provide oversight and management of vendor provided pre-employment transition services including the WIN (Working for Independence Now), WOLF (Work-based Learning Opportunities Leading to Future Employment) and External Vendor programming.
- Coordinate with Arkansas Rehabilitation staff members to provide support and services to students with disabilities consistent with the requirements of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act.
- Perform administrative duties, reponing data collection on the effectiveness of the programs.
- Provide training to staff and outreach to stakeholders, community partners and the general public.
- Serve as a team member for policy development and implementation of agency guidelines.
- Plan, implement, and direct service delivery and responsiveness and provides support and supervisions of case management and compliance.
- Supervise small to medium-sized professional and administrative support staff.
- Process Standard Business System (SBS) monthly.
- Provide interpretation of policies and laws in the absence of precedents to resolve issues and achieve implementation of project goals and objectives.
- Interview, hire, assign and review work and evaluate performance of incumbents.
- Develop a timeline for transition activities that assist clients and families.
