The Social Services Assistant works under general supervision and is responsible for teaching living skills to clients and assisting clients in locating necessary resources. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy. The DCFS Program Assistant is responsible for providing support and services to DCFS families as reflected by Arkansas Practice Model.
• The ability to travel throughout the state of Arkansas.
• A current Arkansas state driver’s license
• Current auto insurance
• May be required to work flex hours.
• be on a 24 hour on-call rotation
• Central Registry background checks required.
• Criminal Records check required.
• Required to carry an assigned cellular phone
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds (i.e., picking up children)
• Willing to transport children and adult clients in your own personal vehicle.
• Driving long distances during the day and night hours
• Special duties as assigned.
