This position performs general maintenance on grounds, facilities, and equipment. Job duties include painting, carpentry, electrical and plumbing repairs, trash pick-up, mowing, weed trimming, and cleaning facilities. This position also operates commercial landscaping equipment, maintains equipment inventories, and completes equipment maintenance records. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license, be able to traverse rough terrain, be able to lift up to 50 lbs., and work a varied schedule, including some weekends and holidays. A driver’s record check will be performed.
This position offers a full benefit package including paid holidays, annual and sick leave, health insurance, and retirement pension.
Applicants must meet or exceed these qualifications: The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus two years of vocational technical training in maintenance; plus two years of experience in general maintenance, including one year in a leadership capacity. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee.
