Typical Functions: This position is responsible for grounds and facility maintenance, and general labor activities at DeGray Lake Resort State Park Golf Course. This includes tasks such as planting, irrigation, pest control, and installation of landscape features. Assisting in the selection of appropriate plants, materials, and design features that satisfy environmental guidelines and project goals, assessing the health and appearance of landscaped areas, evaluating soil and irrigation systems, and implementing corrective measures as needed. Documenting project progress, maintenance activities, and any issues that arise, ensuring accuracy and transparency in the record-keeping process. Ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining high-quality standards. Communicating with government officials, community groups, and internal personnel to align landscape projects with broader environmental and civic objectives.
Basic knowledge of irrigation systems, soil management practices, and sustainable landscaping techniques. A willingness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions is essential.

Applicants must meet or exceed the following qualifications: Ability to follow directions. May be required to lift at least 50 pounds. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee.
