Additional Preferences:
Frequent in-state/regional and occasional out-of-state travel with some overnight stays may be required. Travel to work in other local health units may be required. A current driver’s license is required.
Some after-hours work and weekend work for special clinics may be required.
CPR certification is required.
Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
Experience working with electronic health records preferred.
Three (3) years of experience in Public Health Clinic programs preferred.
Working knowledge of communicable disease programs and knowledge of CLIA laboratory requirements preferred.
Frequent exposure to various diseases and infectious organisms creates an element of danger.
Occasional heavy lifting required.
This position may be entitled to receive a 6% override salary as a nurse specialist.

Minimum Qualifications
The formal education equivalent of a diploma, associate's, or bachelor's degree in nursing. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing in accordance with ACA 17-87-307. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
