Minimum Qualifications (from OPM Job Specification):
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, business, public administration, or a related field; plus, three years of experience in social or community service work, including two years in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB-RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
Job Summary:
The Department of Human Services (DHS) Program Eligibility Coordinator is responsible for coordinating departmental operations within a county facility. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Special Requirement (Preferred Skills/License/Experience/Travel, Shift Work, etc.)
Some travel including overnight, lifting up to 20 pounds, frequent stooping and bending, ability to sit for extended periods of time including riding in a vehicle, extensive computer work utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, occasional overtime, ability to utilize current phone system, clear enunciation, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. This position is FSLA exempt, and overtime is not compensated.
