The Arkansas Public Service Internship Program (MyARInternship) is sponsored by the Department of Transformation and Shared Services (TSS). With MyARInternship, students can apply knowledge gained in the classroom to real life on the job experience. Furthermore, what makes the Arkansas Public Service Internship Program so unique is the diverse pool of career fields. Examples of available career areas include finance, social work, information technology, public health, engineering, business, public safety, education, research, cybersecurity, compliance, legal, environment, accounting, administration, real estate services, tourism, and emergency management.
MyARInternship
To be eligible to apply, applicants must be U.S. citizens, 18 years of age on or before the first day of the internship, and meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at a college, community college, or university (two-to-four year institution).
- Graduated from an undergraduate or graduate degree program at a college (two-to-four year institution) no more than 2 years before the first day of the internship.
- A veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces who possesses a H.S. diploma or equivalent and served on active duty in the 2 years preceding the first day of the internship.
MyARInternship is six week program with two summer sessions available in 2021:
- Summer Session One: May 10 – June 18
- Summer Session Two: June 21 – July 30
Documentation that will be required at time of submission once the application period becomes available later this year:
- Current resume
- Two references or letter of recommendation
Paper applications will not be accepted in place of an online application. Candidates who successfully complete the interview process, pass a background check, and are selected for the program will be scheduled to work from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday for the six week period. Pay is $12 per hour for those selected and hired into the Arkansas Public Service Internship Program.
