Internship Recap

The MyARInternship class completes eight weeks of service to the State of Arkansas. Our interns represent colleges and universities from Arkansas and serve the executive-level State departments. This video is a brief look at some of the activities they enjoy during their time as Arkansas State Government interns.

About MyARInternship

Our aim at the Department of Transformation and Shared Services (TSS) is to cultivate a diverse talent pool for the next generation of professional workers. With MyARInternship, students can apply knowledge gained in the classroom to real-life on-the-job experience. Furthermore, what makes MyARInternship unique is the wide array of career fields one can experience, such as finance, social work, technology, public health, engineering, business, public safety, communications, education, research, cybersecurity, compliance, legal, marketing, environment, administration, real estate services, tourism, and emergency management. Interns will be paid $13/hour based on a 40-hour workweek.

Requirements

To be eligible to apply, applicants must be U.S. citizens, 18 years of age on or before the first day of the internship, and meet at least one of the following criteria:

Completed the first year of college and currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program

Graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program no more than two (2) years before the internship

A veteran with a high school diploma and/or equivalent and served on active duty in the two (2) years preceding the internship

Paper applications will not be accepted in place of online applications. A current resume and references are required at the time of application. Candidates who successfully complete the interview process, pass a background check, and are selected for the program will be scheduled to work during regular office hours, Monday through Friday.
